From Yellow to Acid Green – The Vision

The customer wanted to replace the standard yellow calipers with a high-impact color that would match the car’s acid green bumper accents. This 2020 Aston Martin already turned heads, but it lacked the visual punch to bring its front and rear bumper highlights together.

That’s where we came in.

Our Caliper Painting Process

At Rims and Calipers Paint, we follow a detailed six-step process to ensure a flawless, durable finish. Here’s how we do it:

1. Surface Preparation

Cleaning the brake calipers to remove dirt, grease, and brake dust.
Sanding down the surface for proper adhesion.
Masking surrounding areas to prevent overspray.

2. Primer Application

A high-heat primer is applied to create a strong foundation for the paint, ensuring durability and resistance to extreme temperatures.

3. Painting the Calipers

We use premium, heat-resistant lime green caliper paint to achieve a smooth and vibrant finish. Multiple coats ensure even coverage and long-lasting color.

4. Custom Logo Application (Optional)

For this project, we applied a custom logo on the calipers. After the base color dried, we positioned and sealed the high-quality vinyl logo decal for a flawless, professional finish.

5. Clear Coat & Sealing

A protective high-temperature clear coat is added to enhance shine and prevent chipping or fading over time.

6. Final Inspection & Reassembly

After curing, we inspect the calipers for a perfect finish before reinstalling the wheels and ensuring everything is secure.
